    Take Home Readers

    At WGPS we provide students with decodable readers that the students take home and read every night. These readers are in alignment with what students have been taught in the classroom and the students academic reading skills.

    Zero the Hero

    In Foundation at WGPS, the students celebrate the first 100 days of school continuously. Every tenth day the students are visited by Zero the Hero and Zeroetta. Students complete mathematical activities and celebrate their achievements with their peers.

    Zones of Regulation at WGPS

    At WGPS, we use the Zones of Regulation as a part of our SEL curriculum. This approach provides a consistency for the students.

    Camps

    Learn about our camp program. We begin preparing our students from Prep by having Prep Breakfast. The Grade 1’s have the Grade 1 Late Stay. Grade 2 students have a sleepover at school and then Grades 3-6 attend a 3 day camp every year.

    Incursions and Excursions

    At WGPS, our students are involved in many incursions and excursions over the time of their schooling. These excursions and incursions are all related to the curriculum that the students are learning.

    Calm Spaces

    At WGPS, students are provided with calm spaces in every classroom. These calm spaces provide students with an area of the room that they can use to assist with their emotional regulation.

    Brain Breaks

    At WGPS, students participate in a range of brain breaks throughout the day. Brain breaks allow the students to move their bodies inbetween tasks, allowing them to remain engaged in the learning they experience.

    Buddies
